This policy is provided in compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applies to all users of Cloudlii regardless of location.
Cloudlii is operated by an independent developer based in the Republic of Latvia. For the purposes of GDPR, we act as the data controller responsible for your personal data. By using Cloudlii, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
We collect the following categories of data: • Authentication data — your email address or Google account identifier, used solely to create and manage your account. • Profile data — your chosen display name and app preferences (dark mode, premium status). • Check-in entries — the affirmation shown each day and your yes/no response, used to generate your personalised reflections. • Usage metadata — the date of each check-in, used to calculate streaks and enforce the one-check-in-per-day rule. • Wellbeing pattern detection — we monitor consecutive negative check-in responses solely to trigger an in-app support nudge. This data is processed locally and is not shared with third parties. We do not collect your precise location, contacts, camera or microphone data, browsing history, or any sensitive personal data as defined under GDPR Article 9.
We process your data under the following legal bases as defined in GDPR Article 6: • Contractual necessity (Article 6(1)(b)) — processing your authentication data and entries is necessary to provide the service you signed up for. • Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) — storing preferences and usage metadata to improve your in-app experience. • Consent (Article 6(1)(a)) — for any optional features or communications, which you may withdraw at any time.
Your data is stored in Google Firebase Firestore, a cloud database operated by Google LLC. Google acts as a data processor on our behalf and is bound by a Data Processing Agreement compliant with GDPR. Payment processing is handled by RevenueCat Inc. and Google Play Store. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for marketing or advertising purposes.
Google Firebase servers may store data in data centres outside the European Economic Area (EEA), including the United States. Google LLC participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and provides adequate safeguards under GDPR Chapter V via Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
Your data is retained for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account via Settings → Delete Account, all your entries, profile data, and preferences are permanently deleted within 30 days.
As a data subject under GDPR, you have the following rights: • Right of access — export your data via Settings → Export my entries. • Right to rectification — update your profile in Settings. • Right to erasure — delete all data via Settings → Delete Account. • Right to data portability — export your entries in CSV format via Settings. • Right to restriction and right to object — contact us at support@cloudlii.eu. We will respond within 30 days as required by GDPR Article 12.
Cloudlii does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking technologies. Firebase may use functional cookies or local storage for authentication session management. These are strictly necessary for the app to function.
Cloudlii is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 where required by GDPR Article 8). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us immediately.
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. Your data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS) and stored in a secure cloud environment.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, the date at the top of this page will be updated. Continued use of Cloudlii after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

By downloading, installing, or using Cloudlii, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old (or 16 in jurisdictions where required), that you have read and understood these Terms, and that you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Cloudlii is a personal wellbeing application that provides daily emotional check-in prompts and periodic reflections based on your responses. The app is intended for personal, non-commercial use only. Cloudlii is not a medical device, mental health service, or substitute for professional psychological or psychiatric care.
Cloudlii does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or emergency, please contact a qualified healthcare professional or emergency services immediately.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
You agree not to: • Use the app for any unlawful purpose • Attempt to reverse engineer or extract source code from the app • Use automated tools to access or scrape the app • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation
Cloudlii offers a free tier and a paid Premium subscription. Premium subscriptions are billed on a recurring monthly basis. Payments are processed by Google Play Store and are subject to their terms. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Google Play Store settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are subject to Google Play's refund policy, which provides a refund window of 48 hours from the time of purchase.
Your check-in responses and profile data belong to you. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process this data solely for the purpose of providing the service. You can export or delete your data at any time via Settings.
All content in Cloudlii — including affirmations, reflection copy, design, graphics, and code — is owned by or licensed to Cloudlii and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce or distribute any part of the app without our express written permission.
Cloudlii is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under applicable EU or Latvian consumer protection law.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Cloudlii and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Latvia.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Your continued use of Cloudlii after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
You may stop using Cloudlii at any time and delete your account via Settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.
